Mtkvari HPP is a river diversion hydroelectric plant located in the Samtskhe Javakheti region, utilizing the hydrological resources of the Mtkvari River.
Its installed capacity is 54.1 MW, while annual generation reaches approximately 245.1 to 259.8 million kWh. This accounts for roughly 1.8 to 2 percent of total domestic annual consumption in Georgia.
The facility features comprehensive energy operations. Electricity generation is carried out through a system comprising multiple units, ensuring stable and continuous power production.
